And The Ball Starts Rolling!

Image
Written by: Quincy Williams This week we started working on the initial build of our project, RepAdvisor! We worked on getting our Trello board and GitHub set up to be able to begin working on the application. We were also able to dole out tasks amongst the team to being working on and we were able to present a few screens to our Mentor and Producer to show preliminary progress from post production. We were able to create our basic entry screen, which will open after a splash screen occurs, and the user will have the option to choose from the options that are available to them. From this preliminary build, there will also be the screens referenced from previous posts as well, such as a settings screen, and more detail being added to the other options that are seen in the screen shots above. Each button will have a layout that will provide users with amazing features for them to use to get the most out of their workouts!

Technical Design Document

Written By: Quincy Williams This week, the team and I worked on creating the Technical Design Document for our Rep Advisor application. With the TDD, we were able to show our mentor and producer a more technical and in-depth view of how the application will work, in tandem with our Software Design Document and UI Mockups to try an present a full rough overview of what the final design of the application will look with the code behind it to demonstrate exactly how it will work. Here is an image of the UML Class Diagram that we created that was added to our TDD to show how the classes will work together. The next steps for the team will be to finalize the UI mockups and then begin setting up our GitHub and Trello board together so we can have a clear outline of how the project is going to break down between the team for the next couple of months, leading up to the final product!

First Post! Software Design Document

Image
Written By: Quincy Williams This week, we worked on creating our Software Design Document where we outlined the graphical user interface that is going to be presented to the user for the RepAdvisor workout app. We took screenshots to exemplify some of the things that we are wanting to add and currently are working on mockups that are going to more specifically exemplify what the application is going to look like during production. Here are some screenshots of the UI Mockup that I was working on with the team that is going to be close to the final design when we begin production next month: The screen on the left will be an option for users to see their metrics that they entered to be able to keep track of their body metrics as they use the app. The second screen shows the user templates that they can use if they need some workout inspiration but they are not sure which exercises they want to perform, we provided ideas for them by muscle group. There is still more to be done to the mock...
